These terms are a starting framework for The Honest Fork and should be reviewed by counsel before large-scale launch.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Honest Fork website and iOS app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian where required.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your display name and content appropriate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, photos, videos, comments, and profile text). By posting, you grant The Honest Fork a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service.
You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate law.
Reviews and ratings reflect the personal opinions of users, not The Honest Fork. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user review. Restaurant and business owners who believe content is unlawful may contact support@thehonestfork.com and use in-app reporting where available.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend/terminate accounts at our discretion for violations, legal risk, or to protect the Service and users. Report and block tools are available in the app; reports are reviewed as part of our safety process. We are not obligated to take any particular action on every report.
The Honest Fork name, branding, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by these Terms or with written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE HONEST FORK AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
You agree to defend and indemnify The Honest Fork and its operators from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer laws apply.
We may update these Terms. The effective date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
